I remember waiting for my wedding day to arrive. My husband had been gone for two weeks for training and it was miserable not to be right next to him. Cristian and Haylee asked me to do their engagement photos back in 2019. Then COVID. He was in Italy — she was in Oklahoma. After waiting for far more than two weeks, in July 2021 on a beautiful 80ish degree summer day, the two finally became one.
The love Cristian and Haylee have for each other and for God is so selfless and humbling. They painted such a beautiful picture as they washed each other’s feet during the ceremony. There are people I have met over the years who spur me on in my faith and set such a great example for how Jesus calls us to live — these two definitely fall into that category. I was truly blessed to be able to capture this incredible day and cannot wait to watch how they serve God together.
