Note to self: make sure your ultimate guitar subscription is fully canceled before declaring a year long SMOS/US Ban.
When you give up sugar, the first day or two or three or seven are challenging. The cravings are there. The desire is there. Eventually, however, the cravings become less, or maybe it’s that your strength grows. Same with Ramen. I used to crave those cheap little unhealthy noodles constantly. After realizing just how awful they are, I gave them up. I stopped craving them, but a handful of times over the past year I snuck some bites of the kids’. The experience was quite unsatisfying.
That’s where I’m at. I’ve pretty much stopped looking for things I need to bring into the home. I am still looking for things to take out.
$ Spent on SMOS/US: An accidental $99 on annual Ultimate Guitar subscription that I thought was canceled. I was wrong. This did lead me to check to make sure every other stupid/unnecessary subscription was canceled. We’re good.
Things Purged from My Home This Week: I loaded up and delivered the remaining items that were part of the original 382. The purging was replaced with deep cleaning. (Two little boys can lead to a gross toilet area.)
Something I Considered Breaking the Ban for, but Didn’t: As I was carrying an armload of cleaning supplies, I thought, man it would be nice to have a little cleaning caddy. I should buy one. Nope! You’re on a SMOS/US Ban.
Gratitude: The very soft pajama pants I’m currently wearing. The fact that Kyle ran a total of 8.6 miles with me this week. The grey, Carhartt beanie Kyle’s parents gave him for Christmas a few years ago that I stole and wear almost every day. My warm house and as always…the fireplace!
